Luka Modric, who was previously a cornerstone of the Real Madrid team, has found himself on the bench this season, and he isn’t too thrilled about it.
He said, « I want to always play. I don’t want a break, I don’t want to take vacations. I want to play because that’s where I feel my best, and it helps me prepare for matches. » Modric is eager for regular playing time and doesn’t mind frequent matches, as he feels physically fit.
He also mentioned, « This situation could have some advantages for the future, so we’ll see, but I don’t want that. I want to play, and if needed, every three days, because I’m physically fine. It would be a different story if that weren’t the case, but I feel good physically and mentally, and I want to play. »
Regarding the attention surrounding his current situation, he said, « All that’s happening around me right now is normal. I accept it. I have to mentally prepare for this situation, accept it, and move on. » Modric’s comments highlight his strong desire to continue playing regularly, despite being used as a substitute this season.
