Barcelona is aiming high in this transfer window despite financial challenges.
The club’s ambition is clear, but funds are tight. Several high-wage players are being pushed out, and according to Sport, the club is set to finish the 2023-2024 fiscal year with a profit, which might provide some leeway in the transfer market.
The Catalan club has identified key priorities, particularly in midfield: Amadou Onana, Mikel Merino, and Joshua Kimmich top the list. New coach Ansi Flick is keen on Kimmich, whom he previously coached at Bayern Munich.
However, Barcelona will need to raise between 30 and 40 million euros, which could pose some challenges. Therefore, the club is also considering Amadou Onana from Everton.
