Massimiliano Allegri was sacked by Juventus Turin on Friday following an incident during the Italian Cup final. His successor is already lined up.

The decision came swiftly: Massimiliano Allegri will not lead Juventus Turin next season, and his current tenure has ended prematurely. The club announced the immediate dismissal of the coach, citing that his behavior did not align with Juventus’ values.

This decision follows incidents during and after the Italian Cup final, which Juventus won against Atalanta (1-0). Allegri was sent off from the match after throwing his jacket on the ground and expressing his anger towards the fourth official over a contested decision in stoppage time. His behavior, deemed inappropriate, earned him a two-match suspension. Consequently, Juventus decided to end their collaboration earlier than planned.

According to Foot Mercato, Allegri’s successor will be… Thiago Motta. « Motta has a three-year contract offer in his hands. If the project presented is appreciated by the 41-year-old coach, his response is expected only after Bologna’s last match of the season against Genoa on May 26th. Before that, the Rossoblù will also have a match against… Juventus on Monday night. »
