« When you’re the guy that people expect to perform every time, to lead the team… When we have issues: ‘Hey Thierry, can you change that?’ When you carry that on your shoulders every day, do you know how it feels? » he asked as a CBS Sports analyst.
« When you’re that guy, that burden of always performing, being on top of your game every day in training, it weighs heavily on you, it’s physically and mentally exhausting. It takes a lot, and that’s why often, when players retire, they struggle because the only thing that can keep them at bay and keep them going is performing, » Henry concluded.
