Italian striker Mario Balotelli, currently under contract with Adana Demirspor, was arrested by the police on Thursday night following a road accident in Brescia.
Initial police reports indicate that Balotelli refused to undergo a breathalyzer test after being apprehended in the aftermath of the accident. Images show him walking unsteadily towards the ambulance truck after the incident. Fortunately, Balotelli appears to have emerged unharmed, although his car sustained significant damage.
This latest incident adds another chapter to Balotelli’s off-field exploits. Despite his on-field talent, he continues to grab headlines for reasons unrelated to football.
