When asked about the strength of his connection to FC Barcelona despite being born in a village in the province of Seville, Gavi emphasized his strong bond with the Catalan club. He stated, « It comes from having seen the best team in history, the Barcelona of Xavi, Iniesta, and company. Since then, I have been a Barça fan, and I always will be. » The player, who was nurtured at La Masia, further added, « Anything and everything, I would do anything (for FC Barcelona). I wouldn’t be happier anywhere else. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. »
