The number 10 for Kylian Mbappé seemed like a given… but the future shirt number at Real Madrid is now at the center of discussions. For some time, it appeared that Kylian Mbappé would take on the number 10, while Endrick, the young Brazilian prodigy set to join the club this summer as well, would inherit the number 9 left vacant by Karim Benzema.
However, this prospect could be disrupted by a recent report from Marca announcing that Luka Modric is considering extending his contract for an additional season at Madrid.
The plans of Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé could thus be thrown into question. With the number 7 taken by Vinicius, Mbappé could therefore opt for the number 9. Endrick would then have to look for another number to wear.
